  • Grows to about 1m in length and 12kg in weight
  • Lives for at least 30 years
  • Often referred to as Fingermark Bream
  • Could be mistaken for Mangrove Jack and Moses Snapper (Lutjanus russellii)
  • Have a distinguishing dark blotch below the front of the rear dorsal fin
  • Frequents coastal reef and estuarine environments
  • Good eating
